Welcome to the 1st annual RI Mini Melee!
Mini Melee is on Sunday July 30th at 7:30 a.m. meet up with 8 a.m. departure. It should bring us to about 2 p.m. in the afternoon.
The Mini Melee is gathering a group of rascally vintage car nuts that will treat you to a full day, 150 mile-ish tour of the twisty, untamed back roads of RI.
his event is Free. We provide the course; you provide the accelerator. You wont be driving with Bugatti’s, or enjoy a catered lunch at a winery, but you will have the thrill of breathing in carbureted exhaust fumes, and hopefully seeing your knuckles turn white a couple times.
This isn’t a beauty contest. If your fingernails have grease, and car has dents or rust, bring it! If you have a Rolls, bring it, but leave the gray poupon. We are looking for people who are into the mechanics of their machinery and the thrill of the driving experience.

We gather behind Dunkin Donuts On Hopkins Hill Road, West Greenwich. Exit 6A off i95 south at 7:30.
We will have a brief Driver meeting. Hand out course directions, then depart at 8:00 am (all cars at once) This is not a timed event. No spacing the cars out crap unless ample throttle is applied. Fun happens in clumps.
There will be two group stops.
First stop- mid morning TLC coffee, and probable oil checking stop (optional). Snacks are recommended, and on you.
Second Stop: A late Lunch at the Rathskeller, and hopefully a chance to compare stories. You will be responsible for Lunch.
What if it rains? It will need to pour. Rain date will be Sunday August 6th. Same time, same place, same everything. Decisions will be made Saturday with a text notification and email to the group.
A co driver is encouraged. Navigating alone is doable, but easier when you have someone barking out turns.
Important: all cars please RSVP to Chris so we have a head count for the party the night before, and for the day of the event. Please indicate if you have a co driver. If you do not have a co driver and would like one, include that too. We need numbers so we can make reservations for lunch.
