quick question for you, cant find a good proper answer. maybe my google fu just sucks...

Hey all,

So my rear diff is leaking really bad, I bought a pre-fabbed gasket because I hate dealing with RTV/Silicone paste stuff. The only thing is I cant find a straight answer on what diff fluid I use, is there a certain weight or type (dino oil vs synthetic) i need to use or will any fluid work?

I'm running Redline Oils in my Transmission and Rear Diff. Great Stuff..

I have been using this oil in the Diff. the last year with no problems.

Very High Viscosity rated over 250 and High Temperature rating

It's red in color and you'll know if you have a leak .. Recommended by the Opel community

If you can buy in a Speed shop ECS for less.....Etc saves you shipping costs, FWIW

Awesome! Thank you, I've used redline products before with much success. From the description it just says gear oil with no weight on it. Little digging shows 75w-90, I'm assuming that should be ok if I can't find redline here.

i use Mobil 1 75w90 in everything I own. Pretty much a lifetime lube unless you drive incredible numbers of miles.
