Edwin is going to check with Ernie to see if he's running. We might want to set up a table, Edwin will bring a grill and make a day of it.

I should be in the US. I will plan to go.

Dan, The Mitty sounds like something we should plan for. What was the link to Roebling Road calendar for? ...(I've enjoyed high speeds on my BMW motorcycle there)

Edwin has found out that Ernie will NOT be at Road Atlanta. Ernie lost a trans, flywheel came up through the floor, he was not hurt, cut a brake line, and other such damage and Ernie is just now starting to get the car back together.

Ernie sent me pics of his transmission after that debacle. He's running a BMW gearbox adapted to the Opel block.

The pressure plate is what actually let go. It completely removed the bellhousing from the gearbox! The transmission is junk now since the bellhousing is integral with the transmission case.

I just sent him a new headpipe I fabricated as his old one had about 15 cracks in it in addition to another 20 or so cracks that had been previously welded up. The hard part was not having the car on hand, I had to make a jig off the old pipe in order to make the new pipe.

Well, now that I know who's pipe it is, Ernie couldn't be in better hands than yours Bob.
