I honestly haven't done much research on the history of opel yet, but i had no idea they made cars as far back as the 1930's

I use to briefly run a car club called new england tunerz back in the day, we had forums, websites, our own annual car show, and even a tv show on the rhode island channel for a bit. we started to get big, but the problem was we brought in to many people that were focused more on club drama then actually enjoying and focusing on their time on having fun. Alot of arguements happened over the forum.

never heard of the site, kind of new to the opel scene myself, so anymore wisdom and tips would be awesome!

After spending close to a grand on parts from opelgtsource.com one of the upgrades i got a great deal on was the weber carburator. 4th of july sale priced it at $299 not including mounting hardware, gaskets, and weber air filter in which i ordered as well. probably would have paid the same price if i got the rebuild kit for the solex and hired a mechanic $100 an hour to rebuild and clean it. Anyone have switched to weber from stock and if so how well does it perform?

Thank you, i will look into the petronix igniter, should be picking up a relay today at some point. connection to the starter isnt that well some times it starts other times it doesnt. also, my ignition coil looks in rough shape, i changed one on my old datsun once but it seems the opel doesnt fit the longer cylinder types. have you had to replace yours at all

- I know there is not much traffic on here but would not mind a section to but and sell parts

That site was extremely helpful, looking forward to going to a few shows this year. Motor swap looks awesome by the way, definetly looks like a project though. im pretty much spending the day taking care of routine maintenance. oil pan and trans pan puking everywhere, having trouble consistently starting not sure if its the ignition switch or starter itself. changing plugs, wires, coolant flush, rear end gear oil change etc. Is there many people around with opels? ive only seen the one i own around this area
