Wow, this statement is worth it's own thread.
Highly skilled mechanics are hard to find over on this side of the pond.
Shop management is partly to blame IMO.

I've got another problem child.
The torque convertor lock-up clutch will engage and hold only under light loads.
If you tip the throttle the tcc slips.

Checked the resistance of the solenoid (FSM) 14 ohms.
So I should see a value of one amp if the electrical circuit is OK?

Some muther changed the FWD trans with one that had the wrong final drive ratio.

Had a good one this morning.
Customer complaint was very incomplete on the WO.
All that I could get from them was some kind of braking problem.

The key turned out to be "she almost got into a wreak" the other day.
She stated that this small car should STOP better.

Took the car out for a test drive
humm I did not notice any kind of problem with the braking.
There was no shaking due to warped rotors..great pedal height and it stopped just fine.
I thought about the situation for a second. Ok maybe 15 minutes.
Then a flash thought came into my mind....checked the anti-lock system.
Yep the system worked.
Several weird noises and a pulsating pedal.

Went back to the shop with the results...............

You got to enjoy working with the general public.

This event will be loosely based on SCCA GTA rules.
I talked with a member that agreed to be the other "Rallymaster".

Only two will know the course layout and the rules.
The rules will be unveiled at the driver's meeting.
Target date for the Rally.. fall of 2015.
