There's one in GA for the Brit cars called "Damn the torpedos", but, it's a bit pricey to get into.

    Southern Red Neck

We've got a lot of TSD (time/speed/distance) rally's in the northeast. Nice way to see the countryside.

Hmmmm, you guys have a pretty full autocross and rallycross schedule but I don't see a single TSD event on the list. Bummer.

This event will be loosely based on SCCA GTA rules.
I talked with a member that agreed to be the other "Rallymaster".

Only two will know the course layout and the rules.
The rules will be unveiled at the driver's meeting.
Target date for the Rally.. fall of 2015.

    Sounds interesting.
What sort of coordination with municipalities needs to be done in advance? I get that it wouldn't be a high speed Cannonball Run sort of thing but I'd want to make sure we weren't opening the club (and members) up to unforeseen liability.

That said... It sounds cool and I want to participate.

Typically there is no contact with municipalities. As the target speeds are low (legal) and the cars must be street registered and insured, it falls within the confines of a non-speed (race) event.

Although a person who has made errors with the route instructions may feel obligated to make up for lost time.....:)

Please obey the posted speed limits.
You can bet that trickery will be included in the maps:-)
